Just got my kayak!

Dick's Sporting Goods has the Pelican Trailblazer 100 Kayak on sale for $199, from $299. Also got another 10% off for subscribing to their email list. So with tax, I got the boat for $190!
Can't wait to try it out. There are lots of places to paddle nearby. Avalon Resort in WV does a naked kayak tour of a portion of the upper Potomac River on the Monday after the AvalonFest Music Festival in August. I'll for sure bring it with for that!

Congratulations n8urist. I managed to get a deal on a Hobie last summer just in time to make a few river trips and do some paddling along the coast. I've always managed to get in some nude time on all the trips, I hope you will too.Happy nude paddling!

The only color they had in stock at the moment is yellow (don't care much what color it is), but my wife got a kick out of my picking up what she calls the "banana boat" from "Dicks" for the purpose of nude kayaking!

great deal on the yak , that's where i bought my vapor 10. i spent about a month reading tons of reviews before picking my choice. also those getting a yak for first time take some time researching your paddle choice just not the brand and quality but the length is so important. i bought a good one years ago but wish the length was a tad longer.

Well the Creekgeek's got a 'new boat' a week ago .... i traded my 6 years old blue and white Pelican 10 and a $100 for the new updated 2015 version .... has better seat, aft cargo deck and is lighter stronger and prettier. Boat was bought last 'black friday' for $179... my straight kayaking friend needed a $100 and i wanted his boat since he bought it last November... 1st trip was with 120 people doing a river float event in local urban river Sunday. Today ... 2nd trip with this boat, i am going on wilder lake with a male nudist friend that haven't seen in long time but we did do this once before ... hoping he will be a regular naked paddling buddy .... we plan on visiting the island again and walk naked in the woods too....Sounds great, love to hear how it goes!
I've had the boat out exactly once so far, and not in a situation where naked paddling would have worked :( but I am taking it up to Avalon this weekend, and looking forward to paddling down a stretch of the Potomac on Monday morning. Should be fantastic!

there are some great deals lately so many being produced they have flooded market and a cheap way to get on the water. if first purchase read the reviews before making the jump as most are good but i've seen a few reviews on a few and they weren't so great. also i think the paddle is just as important as the yak, my paddle is a tad short - ok but not great i paid quite a bit for it so not like i can go get another. also may just me but are some of the sit on getting narrower ? i'm a fan of not tipping over if possible but was looking at one the other day and it was pretty narrow compared to most.

one thing i notice about the pelicans especially the sit on's is how narrow some are , i like stability especially on the water. before buying it's a good idea to read the reviews not on just the kayak but the paddle - make sure you get the right length and even the life vest - don't get the old orange PFD spend a few more $$ and get a good one that can save your life if need be.
