Planning a casino trip
Tell us more about them!
Well all three casino's have them, its your usual whirlpool, steam room, sauna combo. The one at Mohegan sun is probably the nicest, but also the smallest. Nice relaxing atmosphere, mix of people nude and in trunks. Mix of people depending on when you go. If your staying in the hotel i think it costs 10 dollars a guest pass I think is 25. i find it very relaxing, the only place iv gone nude, besides my house.
I think you are confusing Mohegan with Foxwoods as far a cost. Mohegan doesn't offer a discount to hotel guests. The last time I was there, the cost was $27.50 (they tack on a fee). Staying at the hotel doesn't automatically get you in either. I was there on a weekend and was told that unless I had a spa treatment booked, their policy is no day passes on the weekend. I had to whine that Foxwoods lets their guests use the facilities on the weekend and they relented. Foxwoods has different companies managing their spas. Foxwoods cost for the Pequot is $10 for hotel guests and $40 for non-guests. While it was still the MGM Towers, the cost was $10 for guests and $25 for non-guests. I haven't been there since it became the Foxwoods Towers.
I found Mohegan to always have something broken every time I went, usually the steam room. The steam room is very small. The sauna is huge. The jacuzzi is in the middle of the room. They have a separate lounge where those waiting for treatments can hang out.
The Foxwoods Tower space is the largest of the 3. They have a huge jacuzzi (could get 15+ guys in it) with water fall. The sauna and steam room have full glass walls so you feel like you are on display (some might like that). I've found the majority of the guys using this facility wear swimsuits.
The Pequot has a small sauna, a 4 - 6 person jacuzzi and a nice steam room. The attendants usually inform anyone using the facilities that birthday suits are allowed. They recently switched their towels to a smaller size so a lot more guys were waking around naked. I enjoy this one the best as it seems to get a variety of people all day long.
There was a small jacuzzi and steam room in the Foxwoods Cedars hotel. It is free for hotel guests and I think they charge $25 for non-guests. Not worth paying for non-guest pass. I had heard a rumor that they may have closed it.
I was a Foxwoods last night, and hit the Norwich So a in the Pequot tower for a few hours.
$40, but is a pretty cool place. Really nice licker rooms, TV room, jacuzzi tub, sauna & steam room. Not big, but that was OK, because it wasn't that crowded.
