good bye my love.

Dear C.
So we part our ways.
It has been two weeks now and I can finally start to say my good byes
I am not ashamed to say I cried, I aced, I even thought of taking you back.
I can still remember the feeling of having you in my hands and the oh so nice smell you had, or how much I liked to see you all shiny in your red outfit.
I remember having you time after time like there is no tomorrow.
You have been with me for 18 years now.
We went thru happy times and sad times and you where always there for me.
But now my dear, we grew apart.
I rather not hear anymore about the stink you give me or see people pooling away.
I also like not having to spend so much money on you every day!
So dear Cigarette, this is a good bye and hopefully , we shall never meet again!

Congradulation, I wish I could do the same, but hard to end a 37 year relationship.

Hahahaha...way to go! Nice post. I had a love/hate relationship with the smokes for 12 years myself. Managed to cut back a bit and then GONE! Cold turkey 24 years ago. Never had an urge since. just replaced it with other habits...coffee, ice cream, grabbing my wife...LOL. You'll find after a while you can hardly stand to be around others who smoke now.

Congratulations, Bman2000. You will be glad you decided to quit. I thank God that I never started. I have found that some of the most vehement no smoking advocates are former smokers. You will find that you prefer to not be around smokers.
There is a group on this web site for non-smokers

Thanks for the great post bman, I too am trying again to quit. I have found that for me, that staying off the computer is a big help cause I just always naturally lite up when ever I am on here without even realizing it. The problem with that is that I am losing contact with the many great friends I have met here and else where on the computer. So now, I am trying to come back here without my "C-friend" We will see how it goes...... Again, thanks for the great post..... WE ARE NOT ALONE !!!!!!

good by my love

Glad you got rid of the habit. Now your food will taste better and people will not smell you when you enter a room. I am 63 an have never smoked. If you are a non smoker, you can deffently smell the smoker.
