Why not get certified?

I was wondering why so many people on here don't make the effort to get certified. It seems like the best thing we can do to keep fakes off of this site. At least there is then a lot more trust in knowing that the stranger we have befriended is a legitimate person and has an interest in the nudist lifestyle.

RE: Why not get certified?

With respect, I don't see what one thing has to do with another. While I am certified, it's because I support the site not because I believe it will distinguish me as a valid user. But all certification means besides supporting the site is that you have a little extra money. I've seen a few certified users who's profiles and behavior have been no better than some of the non-certified users.
What sets real users apart from the fakes is their profiles and their participation. Fakes have little to no information in their profiles and are too quick to ask for access to other users profiles via friend requests rather than exhibiting behavior worthy of being a "friend" like actually communicating with other users first. Certification is just icing on the cake.
Rather than certifying users they should be verified. I've been a member for a couple of years now, but I believe I was asked to provide a picture of myself holding a handwritten piece of paper with my user id (similar to DudesNude). An additional step would be to have other verified users signify that they actually know and have met users wishing to be verified.

While the certification process is not perfect, at least you know the person has been prepared to show their face. I'm not prepared to share my pictures with someone who is not prepared to show me their face. :-))

Sorry, but I'm still a little confused. I did a quick search of certified users and found a couple that don't even show humans, just inanimate objects, signs, etc. Another user does show his face in each of his pictures but is also clothed in each and every one of them. While it's not the majority of the certified users, I'm still confused as to what standard code of conductwe assumecertified users are required to exhibit.

Seems like a good idea to get certified. It was really easy.
