Shame or Fear?

Curious about the "shame" factor. When someone feels guilty or show shame, what do they really cover or attempt to hide? It is usually their faces or eyes. Not their bodies. So why is shame associated with Adam and Eve with covering of their bodies, yet not their face or eyes?Because the bible does not mention shame. It is fear. When someone is afraid, they cover more than their eyes. If they had a chance, they would cover their whole bodies. Adam and Eve were not ashamed. In fact, Adam accused God! That is not shame, that is fear talking. "I was a afraid because I was naked, so I hid". When he hid, was he still naked? Yes, and that did nothing for it. Fear and logic do not always go together. Nor does fear and love. In 1 John 4:18, it says "There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love." If you are still living in fear, then maybe we need to revisited our source of fear and let the love of God be our strength and source of safety. Adam and Eve lost that because they were blinded by fear and started to see God and His creation as something to fear, not love. That includes their own bodies, which were created in the very image and likeness of God. What about that is there to fear? Now that is something to be ashamed of.
