SATURDAY 11TH OCTOBER 2014 SPECIAL (NUDE) BUSHWALK,STRATH CREEK FALLS /MURCHISON FALLS, NE OF WALLANGrade/Length/Type:Medium, 8 km circuit walk, including one steep ascent outbound, and one steep descent inbound of 300 metres - there are small trees to hold on to. The walking surface is forest tracks and remote 4WD roads.Meeting Point/Time:In the parking bay (gravelled area) at the end of the Clonbinane "Off Ramp" on the Hume Fwy, when travelling north. It is the next exit after Wandong. Meet at 10.30am.Map Ref: Meeting place Melways Map 910, Ref M 9. (Walk start is the Strath Creek Falls picnic area, Murchison Spur Rd, VicRoads Map 61 Ref D 6.)Approx Distance/Time from GPO: 78 km, 1 hr.Food:Carry lunch, snacks and water for the walk. Bring hot water & cups for tea/coffee, or cool drinks and eats for afternoon tea at the cars in the picnic area after the walk.There are no coffee shops in the vicinity.Tea, coffee, milk, sugar and some hot water will be provided.Apparel:Sunscreen, hat, footwear with reasonable grip. A pair of shorts will be needed until we leave the picnic area.A small towel to dry off could be handy if you'd like a dip in the rock pools at the end of the walk.Activity Description:Enjoy the freedom of hiking 'au naturelle' through the forests and creek gullies of the Victorian ranges. Great views of very deep gullies and massive rock outcrops.
