What about the gyms you see now with NO lockerrooms and even more of a blank stare if you ask about a steam room?!

Fortunately, I haven't seen this near me. We do have yoga studios and private gyms (one on one with a trainer) that don't offer showers. Regular gyms/health clubs all have locker rooms.

Around here it seems to be the Anytime Fitness and other cut-rate establishments. Which is, of course, a big part of how they can charge less. So far, all of the "real" health clubs supply a locker and shower area, often a hot tub and dry sauna, but often not a steam room.
So for me, the added cost to have all that is well worth it.
