Newton sculpture festival

Next weekend is the Newton sculpture festival. It's a good place to see sculptures and meet the artists. A good time for both artists and models. I plan to go.

I made it to the sculpture festival and to be frank I was disappointed. There only about 1/3 or less as many artists as the last time I went and many were wooden bird carvers and junk welders. Granted they were good what they did but the last time I went there were more than a dozen who specialized in the human form, in both clay and bronze.

I'm now thinking of going to the Des Moines art festival. I have not been there since they were holding it on the bridges. Does anyone have advise about attending at the new location? Is anyone else going?
