Cross Country Trip

Hey Everyone:
I'm moving from Boston, MA to Palm Springs, CA the week after New Year's. I'll be driving with my Golden Retriever while movers take my 'stuff'. I'm looking for advice on nude hotels, resorts, places to stay along the way. I'd love to find fellow nudists who can host, in exchange for a future stay with me in Palm Springs.
I plan to head south from Boston through DC, on to Charleston, and then to South Carolina, and Atlanta. Then I'll head across the southern tier of the country through Texas and Arizona, ending in Palm Springs around January 10th.
Can anyone provide suggestions or let me know of good places to stay along the way?

I would have done 'the northern' route if it wasn't going to be January! I'd love that route but this time of year it can be so tricky. I'd hate to be driving I90 in bad snow - have done it many times.
