I beg to disagree - it has been answered. Sex and naturism are two quite separate things. Occasionally I see a (usually clothed) man masturbating at the edge of a nudist beach. He is not a naturist. To my mind nether is anyone else who confuses nudism with sex. OK we can get sexual urges when we are naked, alone in nature or with other nudists. But that is not because we are naked.
well said sonachand.
Nudeneil made a very pertinent premises. He made a distinction between sex and erection. Even an erection can be non sexual. The way, if someone sees a guy with erection (even if it is non sexual in that guy's mind) immediately the guy will be branded as pervert.
As olly says, sex and naturism are two complete separate segments and as SC says it is important how a naturist portrays naturism to the world, therefore it seems that creating world view is very important.
Ollygrumps too mentioned about non sexual erection and made his point very clearly.
shanky's view is quite important - controlling emotions.
So, a naturist person might get erection in nature (for whatever drive) but if he wants to enjoy sex (with self or consenting partner) the area has to have privacy so that others are not disturbed.
It is the role and responsibility of every naturist - to see that through his /her behavior, other (non nudists/ new nudist who are still in exploring stage) people do not consider larger community of naturists as perverts.
I can share an experience of mine.....when i visited a place which was nudists tolerant. There was another guy who joined me...and he was very very sexually motivated being nude in nature. He was playing with himself...and there were people passing by.
I was extremely embarrassed as i was thinking what others were thinking .....
But there is another experience where a friend of mine was nude in nature (with adequate privacy) fro sex......but was made to explore nudity....finally he enjoyed naturism more than sex. And now he is a naturist.
So its very true that context is the main thing...keeping th eworld view in mind one should act so that no one's sentiment is hurt.
i think both are little bit inter-related.. 1st situation: whn u enjoying nature... in nude condition..if suddenly...some 1 come... to whom u .. r attracting ... thn its turn to b a sx....2nd situation: suppose.. u nd ur partner go at cum quite lonly plce.. enjoying nude bath.. but.. that u jst enjoying nature.. so nt feel abt sx...
I fully agree that nudism should NEVER be mixed with sex and had myself, feeling the need, encountered and initiated a poll and successfully campaigned to vote out one who was spreading swinging messages in indianaturist yahoogroup. Anybody can still check it there. Still I appeal everybody to take the courage to theoretically consider the basic question, that is, keeping apart the issue of taking offence (remember, some non-nudists take great offence in pure nudism or naturism too), whether consenting sex coming naturally in nature is not natural and if it is natural, whether it is not naturism, if not, how and if yes, why it 'SHOULD NEVER BE PRACTISED in purview of naturism.
Those who understood the theoretical paradox, I suppose, are able to fully understand my answers I have given here in this thread previously.
