The posted rules are plain enough for "rainman" to understand, and yet...Some people have the "It's legal if I don't get caught" mentality. Because TT is well swamped with pics, they're not getting caught. Even when I get nailed by a cop for speeding, I know full well I earned it. I don't argue with the cop over the merits of the existing speed laws.
I am completely sympathetic with the Reform Group's objection to sexually tittilating pictures. There are more than enough 'pretend' nudism sites on the web where people may go and post to their heart's content. I joined here hoping to meet and talk with people in a non-sexual nudism context, which the site claims to be.
However, I don't support the 'cause' of this group because, frankly, it makes no sense. The photos I consider inappropriate are already against the terms of service. If the site owner is unable or unwilling to police the clear tos violations, how does adding MORE unenforceable provisions do anything to help the situation?
There is definitely a grey area in which reasonable people will never agree. Clearly SOME of the photos most 'reformers' object to are not considered inappropriate by many of the 'preservationists.' I suggest we take our cue regarding pics in the grey area from the US Supreme Court's rulings on pornography-- which is that community standards prevail, and that the principle of personal expression is protected as freedom of speech, but there is no 'right' to being protected from being offended, because, like beauty, disgust is in the eye of the beholder-- it's way too much of a personal thing to legislate.

No it does not relate directly to nudism but there are many groups on TN that refer to interests other than nudism and no-one is forced to join a group. Persons with common interests are free to discuss them away from the main page thus not forcing other threads off the bottom. However, having said that there is nothing wrong with advising people that a group exists.

Jack, I agree. But Phil recently flagged a guy for expressing his view of pro-Christianity because it had nothing to do with nudism. If he feels this way, then he is being hippocritical in expressing his pro views about any other non-nudism subject. Others will agree with me.
