Late winter gardening

We have a foot of snow on the ground but the greenhouse is still providing spinach and kale that was planted last fall. Inside in the house we are starting this years' crops under the grow lights.
Anyone else grow year round in the northern climates?

My daffies/jonquils are starting to bloom. Tulips have large buds. Hyacinths are blooming. The Tulip tree's buds got a good case of freeze and they didn't get a chance to bloom this year.

@NoTanLines - Do you have a double wall/insulated greenhouse or heat heat source? Where I'm at in N.W. Montana, plants in our single wall greenhouse tend get get frosted. We have a majority of cloudy days in winter, that doesn't heat things up much. We have just planted some early greens in there and have manged to keep the rosemary alive by covering it. We can't safely plant out in the ground until May so are waiting to start a lot. We're anxious though and are setting it up and have the leeks started.

Today will be in the 70s, it was yesterday and sunny as well.

I just have a single walled homemade hoophouse with no external heat (see picture I posted in this group's photo section). I have one gallon bottles filled with black colored antifreeze and I cover the plants at night with reflective bubble wrap. The spinach and kale don't grow much during the winter, but we are still able to harvest and enjoy it fresh. Our coldest temp so far has been -16 degrees.

Well I sure missed my fresh greens this winter, so I'm certainly going to try this next winter. Thanks.
