Just joined yesterday
Hi everyone, I just signed up yesterday, and thought I'd introduce myself, I'm just gonna copy this bit that I put in my profile since I think it sums up a conundrum I have fairly well: I'm not really a nudist yet, but I'd like to be, I know your probably thinking take off your clothes, bam insta nudist. but you know it's not that simple. See, I don't know any nudists, and I'd feel pretty odd as a first timer at a nude resort/event/beach/being social being just a lone guy, but if I was with nudist friends I think I'd feel more comfortable. Well since I won't meet nudists, without going to nude places, and I won't go to nude places without knowing other nudist, its a catch-22. But this site might help me find a solution, so here I am.
also I'm kinda nervous about putting a picture up, nobody that I know are aware of my interest in nudism and I don't want to be seen asweirdby anyone, although we all know it's notweirdto like to be naked. if I put up a picture can anyone just make a profile and see it and whats a good profile picture for a nudist site anyways?
and another note, before finding this site, I checked out some other supposedly nudist sites, that seemed more about peoples fantasies, but this site seemed to be full of more normal people, perhaps it's just moderated better, and if so thanks.
I'm afraid I won't be any help unless you plan to visit California :-) if you do, there are lots of places to go in the summer, right now though I think mostly hot springs.
Most nudists are pretty laid back, I would just try to find a public venue, like a beach or clothing optional hot spring, that way you can show up clothed and then only get naked when you feel comfortable.

Welcome to the Party.
Please check out the site and if you have any questions let any of us know. We'll be happy to help.
Make sure you take the time and fill out an honest profile of you, for it will help you make friends in this and other sites.
Ensure you check out and join the Groups/Rooms/Forums, is a great way to meet people near you and with similar interests.
As always, keep it clean, tasteful and honest and you'll have a great time making/meeting new TN friends.
Also WWW.AANR.COM has the answers to just about every nudist question there is, so make sure you check it out as well.
Be good, stay naked and keep in touch.

Welcome to this community. If you are nude at home (not naked as according to the dictionary, naked contains the aspects of vulnerability), you are a private or home nudist. Once you do join an actual community, you will become a social nudist.
You don't have to post a nude photo of yourself. You could just use your head (the one with the brains ) or a pet as there are a good number of those here who are here for less than genuine nudist/naturist ideals. There are lots of options in California including landed as well as nonlanded venues and a few beaches. Having been a nudist for over 45 of my now 65 years and more than 50 clubs, resorts, beaches, etc. I would be happy to make a recommendation or three including Berkshire Vista (landed club/resort) in Hancock MA, Sunchasers (a nonlanded club) in New England. There is Sandy Terraces a nudist park at the Cape.
I wish you well,
Cheri
