Hygiene recommendations
Hello everyone! I'm not sure if this post belongs in this forum category so I'll post it here.
I have some questions about hygiene in nudism and what recommendations should I follow to have a better hygiene in my daily nudist life.
I started to think about the situation of what you should do after pooping. How should you wipe your butt correctly? I feel that I'm failing in that, since possibly butt hair contains excrement residue and with that I sit on the furniture, although it's not a big problem because I always make sure to sit with a cover.
I also start to think if there are some things related to hygiene that I have to do and take in mind compared to non-nudist hygiene. I consider that nudist hygiene is somewhat different from non-nudist hygiene, since the clothes become a kind of "shield" to not have direct contact with human waste, such as sweat, excrement and urine. For these reasons, I am thinking on creating a different routine to get a better hygiene.
What hygiene recommendations for nudists should I know?
First thing, wash after pooping. Many people buy devices that fit over the toilet for that purpose. That's an indispensable. And towel dry. In a public bathroom, if there are paper hand towels, wet one before you go into the stall, use it there, then don't flush, but carry it back out to the trash can. I personally wash after peeing, as well.
In social nudist situations, it's expected that you'll have a towel or somesuch with you, to put down on any furniture before you sit down. In your own home, there's a lively controversy about that one. How vulnerable is your upholstery? How much does your body leak / is it leaking at this age, time of month, whatever. Did you wash your butt after pooping? These latter are questions you can ask yourself, but you can't ask your guests - thus the courtesy of a towel for everybody. There's also a contagion concern, with all sorts of dire fears; realistically, lice and scabies are about the only thing that's contagious on fabric.
Some basic things.
Thing number Zero: long story short, Naturism equals nudism, but not all Nudism equals Naturism.
1. If you are worried about your body's issues, get a bidet, or wash in the bath after using the restroom before naturism.
2. Naturism is about hygiene, and so, therefore naturists always wash before going outside their home to go do naturism.
3. When doing naturism, naturists always shower at home before going out to their special naturist sites to do naturism.
4. Naturists always bring a towel to go do naturism.
5.
Naturism is always equal to respect for others, respect for self, and respect for the environment. Therefore, Naturists always shower at their naturist pools before entering the pools at a Naturist site.
Beaches for naturists might not have showers, but some of the good ones might make you shower in some beaches in some areas for naturists inside Europe. At most beaches, showering might be optional, but it is a good idea to be clean before arrival.
Generally, in American and other Naturist campgrounds or resorts with a pool, you have to use the soap and wash provided at designated showers at the Naturist site out of a dispenser to apply as body wash. It generally is a type of body wash they put in the dispenser. Everyone washes with it in the Naturist site before they enter the pool or bodies of water in the Naturist site or resort or campground.
6. Try to figure out how to not eat the foods that cause irritation to one's health before doing naturism so one does not have uncontrolled lack of hygiene. Try to eat food that is good for the health and does not cause irritation to one's health, including spices like mint and coffee and caffeinated drinks and chili peppers and spicy food.
7. Naturism is about harmony with one's self and nature. It is neither for the staring nor for following people, nor is it for the things for the pleasure coming from stimulation. Just do not do it when it is just for stimulation. Naturism is the opposite of stimulation, it is for dulling stimulation and being in harmony with nature. Don't look down when talking to people, do not stare.
All of this is meant as an encouragement. Anyone can do this if they try, and I know this will make the experience of naturism better.
