ANTA's call for assistance in identifying suitable hiking trails for clothing optional designation.

The Australian Naturist Trails Alliance (ANTA) is actively seeking to identify and establish clothing-optional trails in New South Wales. Current legislation allows for clothing-optional recreation in certain areas, and a major key to gaining approval is proximity to water. We are looking for specific types of trails that meet these legislative requirements and provide naturists with a peaceful, natural environment to enjoy.

What We're Looking For:

To support our push for clothing-optional trails, we need trails that meet the following criteria:

1. Must Be Near a Body of Water:
Proximity to water is crucial for approval under current NSW legislation. Were searching for trails that run alongside creeks, rivers, dams, lakes, or any other significant water body. Water enhances the natural setting and helps fulfil the legal requirements for clothing-optional recreation.

2. Low-Traffic, Remote or Semi-Remote Trails:
These trails should be relatively secluded and not currently busy or popular paths. This ensures that the clothing-optional areas maintain the peaceful and respectful environment naturism is built upon.

3. Distance from Parking Facilities:
The trails clothing-optional section must be at least 3km from the nearest car park. This distance helps ensure that only those genuinely interested in naturism and hiking access the area, reducing the likelihood of uninvited or disruptive visitors.

4. Exceptions for Difficult Access:
If a trails access is particularly difficult, such as a grade 5 or higher rating, we may consider exceptions to the 3km rule. Challenging access points naturally preserve the integrity of the clothing-optional space by discouraging casual visitors.

How You Can Contribute: Join ANTA group on TN...

We invite all naturists and outdoor enthusiasts to assist us in identifying suitable trails throughout NSW. If you know of any trails that meet these criteriaespecially those near bodies of waterplease share them with ANTA. Together, we can advocate for official clothing-optional status and create beautiful, serene spaces for naturists to enjoy nature as intended.
