Blocking Intruders

Friends, I have just realised that people, who are not members of the group, are able to access our photos. The privacy settings limit access to members, and members are approved. Without going into the data sharing issue, I am surprised and concerned. While I personally have no issue with who sees my pictures, some of you may have. I noticed that a number of members have private profiles.. I will take this up with the site owners, possibly this is allowed in the US, but here in the EU it is not, they are not very reactive, so I do not expect them to fix anything . In the meantime, if you are uncomfortable with the public viewing your pictures, delete them.

RE:Blocking Intruders

It would silly to trust anything private with a site as full of bugs as TN. That's why I normally make my nude pics unidentifiable. It's not as much that I am ashamed of my nudity but I try to post nice pics and some of them are likely nice enough to be then found on plenty of other sites -usually escort ones-. Covering or cropping out my eyes not only makes pics less identifiable but also is a strong disincentive for them to be stolen.

Long story short, time ago I used to have a public FB profile and when I discovered Google lens and Tineye I started to use them for fun and once I tried them on some of my own pics and I discovered two of them on one of these sites. They were sexy but not nude. Needless to say, you can no longer see my pics on any of my profiles.

I guess you are less likely to have this if you are a guy or your pics are blurry snapshots on the beach but this is a group about ENL so I choose pics which I find elegant.

I always wondered why when this group restarted that it was not private again like before.
Is that why those ladies were deleted again ?

Yeah with the way a computer works it is impossible to hide anything from being copied !
Remember when you had a picture developed at the lab. That was the only time you worried. Lol

I know topics are viewable through friend association, i.e if i post /reply to an ENL topic, people I'm friends with who are not members of the ENL group will see the reply.

I know other "private groups" and you definitely can't see the pics unless you're a member of the group.

You sure non-members are seeing pics and not just topics?

Is there a particular intruder you've seen Jeanne. Could perhaps figure out how they are viewing ENL pics

Yes, I believe the site owners hand out permission to chosen members. Probably the way they handle mod, I have blocked him from my profile. As he is not a member of this group he should not have access here. Again, I am open about my images, but others might not be, certification shots might be a worry for some

Hmm, that makes sense that's certain members have higher levels of access, maybe he's a mod in the making and being tested!
