The Wager

Just finished this book by David Grann. He also wrote Killers of the new flower moon. Both are great reads!the wager is about the hardships of sailing the world's oceans before there was any significant well worn paths or guidance. The resulting disasters and human coping in the face of insurmountable odds. The Killers was a great read on a tragic topic . I read this about a year ago. Oil is discovered under the poor lands dispossessed Osage Indians were forced to live on but owned. W coming of oil money came trouble as whites cheat and defrauded the Indians out of their claims.
