I might have finally made a little headway in breaking the ice with my wife on visiting a social nudist event.
When I got home from work the other day and getting the kids to bed, when I got to our bedroom I said i couldn't wait to get my clothes off because they were just feeling uncomfortable. I have skin allergies mainly detergents and dyes which make clothes very itchy. Anyway after I disrobed (took about 2.5 seconds) she joked that I'll probably want to move to a nudist colony! HAHA! I told her "I wish". I told her I would love to live life clothes free. I then brought up my thinking about attending a social nudist event and she asked me "you could do that?", as in be nude with other people. I told her sure I could and it looks like fun to me. She said she didn't think she could do that, but I'm happy the cat is finally out of the bag. I think with a little persuasion and maybe meeting with some of these directors of these clubs, I hope I can get her to at least visit one and check it out with me.
I've been wondering how to talk to her about this but instead of me bringing it up awkwardly, she brought it to me.
Wishing I was nude right now (but can't be)

You will find a lot of advise there, the main thing seems to be to take your time. Don't push, it is better to make her curious, or you may push her away.
Look for Cheri's comment.
Thanks Phil, I'll have to check those links out. I also found out that the nearest club (Rocky Mtn Naturists) is clothing optional and not just nude and I think my wife will go if she has that option. I hope once she meets some of the members and sees they are normal people of various shapes and sizes, she will eventually join in. But at least now she knows I am interested in social nudism and not just walking around the house nude.

Dave, That's a good start. How about contacting the nonlanded Colorado clubs and ask if there's a couple or woman who could meet y'all at a dinner or such over a cup of coffee so your wife can find out that nudists are just regular people, just more comfortable after a large meal.
And Cheri, I just sent an email about an hour ago to the head of the Rocky Mountain Naturists, they are a non landed C/O club near Denver. I think this club would be the best place to start in my area and since it's C/O it takes a lot of pressure off my wife to disrobe. I want her to decide when, if ever, to decide she is comfortable enough to be nude. I love her to death and really want her with me at nudist events, but I won't put any pressure on her. I keep reading 'baby steps', so I guess I'll just have to be patient and drown her in love Lol

Dave, Buy your wife one of those sarong type cover ups for the beach. Many women wrap themselves in these at nudist gatherings. Depending how the mood strikes them they may wear it high tied at the chest, low tied at the waist or not at all when entering the pool. Yes they are nude but also modest. Nudism in not about making people feel unconfortable. Nudism really makes people feel totally comfortable.
