You guys may be misconstruing my posts Im not sure. But to be clear what Im offering is that even though Im a person who likes the way thongs feel and they make me feel sexy I agree with the vast majority of the population of earth. I have come to the realization that they dont look right on a man. Why would you want to walk around on a beach in denial when I guarantee you other people dont like the way you look. You might as well walk around drunk or high. Unless youre one of those who just lays flat on your towel?
Thongs do not look right on a man i whole heartedly agree, hence i always try to find a naked beach

It depends on which thongs you wear - wear the ones which are designed for men and suit your body type. I have seen plenty of men looking good in thongs and just as many women looking totally naff in them.

I agree choose a good garment and will get great results... i buy my at a store for mem stuff.
As an example -
I look absolutely terrible in Kiniki's Andre micro-bikini but my wife likes me in their Brazil , tanga and Pulse g-string styles.

Andre and Brazil are similar. What makes you look good in one and terrible in the other?

I agree that they are very similar and I don't really know how to describe the difference which is probably about how my body reacts to the constraints.
Nonetheless, it does illustrate the fact that the subtleties of the cut are so important. It certainly isn't the amount of flesh I show as I definitely show much more in the tanga and the G-string and the Brazil shows much more of my backside.
The only constructive suggestion I can make about choosing exactly the right garments for yourself is to try them on in the presence of your significant other (wife, girlfriend, mother, etc., or the gay equivalent and take their opinion. Women do it all the time in clothing stores but, given the paucity of places selling small swimsuits, men's only answer is to use mail order on a "sale or return" basis or do as I did and pass the failures on to an appropriate charity shop or to on-line followers.

Its such a shame we men have to buy certain items online, and have to take the risk of them not fitting or looking bad in them, i always ask my wifes opinion on anything i buy, love to visit your charity shop !
