Caught out in the rain no top
We have an older yj a93 (wrangler of course) and like to run around during the summer in just the bikini top it has made for a few interesting trips home. Once we were at a local nudist resort and weather was not supposed to move in till later that night. It came early, so we had parked in lot as you come in, so we ran and jumped in still nude then the bottom fell out raining super hard. I just stuck my clothes in the center console to keep them somewhat dry in case it stopped before getting home. It was raining so hard i was having to wipe as much rain off the inside of the windshield as was on the outside. I do not think a car next to you could have seen much of anything as hard as it was coming down. I think we passed maybe two cars the whole trip. We ended up driving home all the way home about a forty-five-minute drive nude. I guess i need to mention we had half doors on at the time with the bikini top. It was pretty chilly ride but fun memory. Anyone else have similar experience?
I have yet to take the entire roof off my JL. Have had the freedom panels off but not the rest. I took the top off my wife's TJ and drove around with it topless for a couple days but she doesn't care for the roof being off. Only issue with my car being topless is that it's our main car for daily driving, day trips and long trips. If I were to get caught in the rain, it could make for a very miserable rest of our day or trip, sitting on wet seats! hahaha. I'd love to have an older YJ of TJ where I could leave it topless always and not worry about rain. Although, we don't get a lot of rain here in So Cal. Love the idea of getting caught in the rain, with the top off and being naked. Man, that's a bucket list item to strive for!
