RE:Memorial DayI have some friends that served, I thank them often. A work friend was in Afghanistan during a lot of conflict. I hugged him today and thanked him for his service.

RE:Memorial DayKeeping their memories alive and honoring their commitment is the point of Memorial Day. I dont remember where I heard it but I remember this phrase, Arlington has 4,000 reasons why you should stand for the national anthem.
