Yesterday was another tinkering in the shop day ... and it was a great day for tunes. After listening to the radio for a bit, I put 'Meatloaf - Bat outta hell' CD and let it run followed by 'Dobbie Brothers - Greatest hits' and kept on working. It's a great way to keep the afternoon moving along. And, you get a big smile to go along with it!!
My niece made a comment that linked to a lyric and gave me an instant earworm. Now excised by listening to the album for the first time in a while.
U2: All that you can't leave behind.
Apparently the secret to excising an earworm is to play the song through to it's ending; otherwise you find yourself endlessly stuck somewhere in the middle of the song. Of course, the whole album also works for those of us who still listen that way. :-)
I spent many a day riding down the highway listening to 'Born to be Wild' & 'Magic Carpet Ride'. Great tunes from a long ago era. I'll be everyone listening to those two has an increased chance of a speeding citation, too!!! It might well be worth it.
