Year of hiking
I went through my hiking log and added up the miles that I had done during 2022. Logged a total of 245 miles, with 6 encounters during that the various hikes. all with no negative reaction. Finished off the Northen section of the Florida trail during the summer, I have done the entire trail through the Ocala forest nude
Glad you didnt encounter anyone who gave you a hard time. I hike on Appalachian Tail here in Vermont. Now that Im retired I go nude hiking during the week. I dont run into many people, but I do keep a pair of shorts within reach if I have to throw them on. Its just not worth finding that one jerk who would ruin your day

that is cool never thought to keep a log but even though i hike it's mostly short hikes , as i age the old legs can't scale hills like they once could and other than camp so much in my area has been encroached by people , homes and businesses .
Unless things have changed in the last year or two, a little FYI. Vermont has no laws against public nudity. The only caveat is that you can't legal get nude in public. But if no one is there when you do strip down then no issue with that. Probably none anyways if you're at a trail head. I have nude hiked various sections of the AT when I lived in New England. There is usually a group hike on the Summer Solstice. On one of those hikes is the only time I would have what might be considered a negative reaction. We had a mixed group of about 15 Hikers traveling south on the AT when we encountered a northbound middle aged Female through hiker. She commented "common guys put some clothes on". Some of the women in the group attempted to talk to her but she just continued north. One Wednesday I hiked the AT trail up Stratton Mountain from the Stratton/Arlington Rd.. Had encounters with two dozen or more others that day with no negative reactions. Had several that stopped to talk. So you shouldn't worry about covering during your hikes.
