Hikes in Scotland
Every year I promise myself a camping holiday in Scotland with one of my favourite destinations being the Trossachs. Maybe I'll get there this year...
From Glasgow I would suggest getting yourself out to somewhere like the Campsie fells. Open spaces are safer than forests because you can see other folk (textiles) approaching from far enough away to avoid them or slip some shorts on (always carry shorts that you can slip on quickly over whatever boots you are wearing). That way you don't need to be nervous and can enjoy the freedom. That would only leave your navigation skills to worry about; the more remote the better.
I'd love to accompany you as I agree there is safety in numbers, even with just two, but realistically I hope you find a companion closer to home as that would work better, so best of luck!
Hi, I think you are probably safe to try going nude just about anywhere in the hills in Scotland. No one is going to mind. Just take some shorts which you can step into easily and quickly if you are a bit nervous about being seen naked.
The biggest problems will be the midges (worst from July onwards) and the weather (worst every month) !
Have fun, stay nude.
I see someone else has mentioned the midgies... be prepared for them as they're lethal little gits. On a holiday last year I could barely stay out more than 2 mins because of them. You have to hope for a windy day as they're not strong enough to fly in it.
