Lake with an English city name - fantastic walk

I had a spare hour in my schedule yesterday and after a long hiatus of no bush walking I headed off to the local Lake which shares its name with an English city !

This was a great walk as I had very tight time frame in which to do it (an hour) - so I headed out (clothed) at a cracking pace. About 500m it looked to be unoccupied by others, so I shed my clothing and proceeded.

The early afternoon late winter sun provided a great hiking climate and along the way the gradients were challenging enough for me to work up a small sweat. I think these gradients would too challenging for somebody who is not agile enough to walk up and down two flights of stairs, but they are not the entire track, just a small section of it.

You can't seem to get down to the waters edge of the Lake though (was my objective to find a place for wild swim in the coming months). Perhaps if you walk even further along the trail (I didn't get to its end) there may be a place where it gets down to the waters edge.

The trail (ie its a service trail for the water auth people) does get used by others. Plenty of evidence of horse hooves and bike tyre tracks. Motorised vehicles (incl motorcycles) are prohibited (thank God), so no concerns about them - but suggest timing is everything if you don't wish to be seen by people other than those in the nudie community. My walk was a mid week, middle of the day adventure and that seemed to work the secluded charm.

Why does it have to be a cryptic reference anyway? Shouldnt we be more open and supportive?
