I suspect the underlying issue here is that the site does not make enough money to have an army of web developers on hand to address all the issues. To pay or not to pay is a chicken or the egg thing. It's hard to justify paying for a product with so many issues, but it's hard to fix the issues if you don't have the money to hire the help. Now, that said, I could be completely wrong. They could be reaping in the money, but I doubt it. Frankly, I'm a bit surprised they haven't pulled the plug on this site. It must make enough money to at least pay the bills.

Yeah I think the money is there, it just is a matter of finding the properly low-cost system to match the size of their budget, which I think should improve if the bots and the community issues can be resolved. The bot issue is more easily resolvable, it is the community issues and the gravity of the community issues underlying the problems, with or without bots being a problem.
I think bots really need to be taken care of first then the community issues should be stabilized after the bots go away. After all, if someone has to compete with AI all the time to see who can outdo each other there will be tensions and many problems following the issues at hand. But some of the bad behaviors might Originate With The Bots, since the bots intimidate others to do scary things on behalf of the masters of the bots, which usually are gangs and criminals on the internet just using this site.
The Dead Internet Theory will truly come to light if this website and all the other websites dealing with human interactions or with social media stay on the path they are going down, since the AI bot takeover of the Internet will just result in the clear-net internet itself just evolving into gang activity and international espionage and manipulation if the internet just sits without the websites getting tougher moderation and filtering out of bad AI web-bot activities.
AI used by Evil People will be used to subvert any good or meaningful interactions in "online communities." I am sure there are bot issues in some of the other online communities on the Internet, but it might be more precarious for some communities and for this community because of the lack of "Filtering out the web bots." The SPAM Bots can and will take over some websites if the people at the top do not approach the problems head-on. Look at the state of Twitter or X right now, because moderation went in decline, the bots have taken over so badly over there. YouTube is still owned by google and some people say that YouTube is being ruined because of bad content put out by Automated Spammer web bots.
Soon the clearnet will just be seen as either "Toxic online communities" or "Just like the deep web of the internet" which is not very pleasant.
The prospects of the website making money might out-weigh the costs of having to implement the spam solutions. The real problem that I think they do need to overcome is the issue of Competition from bigger and better Naturist platforms, but updating the system's infrastructure on here could help tremendously.
But anyway, I really do not have all the answers, I really am not an expert. Some videos about the dead internet theory by the YouTube channel "SomeOrdinaryGamers" on YouTube and the video "The Internet Will End Soon" by the YouTube channel "Pursuit of Wonder."
My main gripe with this site is the lack of inter-activity. With allegedly over 1/2 million members you would expect a lively forum and active groups, yet replies to posts in the forums are a rarity, and most of the groups I've joined barely see one post from one year to the next.
I know most of the action goes on in the Chat Room - but I don't find that welcoming - apart from the array of guys bombarding you with PMs of their cocks or requests to 'chat' on cam. I've not even tried to use it for months, and only really check in once in a blue moon in case I've missed a private message from the handful of decent folk I've met here.
Frankly there are plenty of other sites/groups which are far more active and friendly as places for genuine naturists to interact.

Personally, from my perspective regarding the lack of internet activity on this site, I think it would work better for the web traffic of this site if they fixed the bot problem first and quickly in a step-by-step process Take Neccessary Actions to eliminate risk of AI takeover.
We really live in the age of AI, and Web-bots and scraping-web-bots taking over is a huge problem for all "Clearnet" websites.
"Deep web sites" connected to the clearnet through clearnet web pages that access "Deep web" Through "Web Login Portals" always have trouble if they do not use 2FA or filter other spammers out through humanizing and making hard to access their sites.
Human manual review for Approval of Creation of Web Accounts is Crucial along with 2FA for Preventing Web-Bot Web Traffic Overwhelming The Websites.
Regarding the Chat Room, In my humble opinion, it would be best if the chat feature was disabled while all the other features remain online. This site really should have a web-call feature, but I think they need to get rid of "Group Chat Rooms" or the "Chat Section" of the website. I am not an expert, but that is just how I feel. Maybe someday, I think, Person to person video calls would work one day.
However, in my personal opinion, this site has already had its moment in the sun and needs to really get the problems under control. I can tell the chat issue really drives people away, but it is a tough call to make from their perspective, I think.
In my opinion, there really wouldn't be so many short-lived user profiles if the chat didn't exist. In my view, the "Online Dis-Inhibition phenomenon" in which people lower their judgements and guard against unruly behavior is proving itself in the way some people interact with moderators in the chat room. I also believe, in my humble opinion, that privacy and bot-filtering mechanisms are compromised by the allowance of the less active or web-bot-based user profiles to interact with the human users in ways that can really pose risks to other users being subjected to bad behavior of others in the chat room. Just a thought. I don't know how true this is, this is just my opinion.
As for other online naturist communities, I think Nudist Nation is big and popular in the United States, so is "A Naturist's World" or whatever the big one in Europe is called. There were other sites that are less reputable, such as ones that attract bad sub-cultures, crime, etc. I would want for this site to not be in the category of "less reputable
I do see it is on a quick decline in it's younger website history.
(since 2003 to 2006 or between 21 years ago to eighteen years ago, this website has existed.)
(However I do not think this website here is as early in the history books as the "Oldest Firsts" of naturist and nudist sites since the web's creation in 1990 or 1991, approximately 33 years ago, or as old as the use of computers in the pre-1991 computer age beginning around 1977 about forty-seven (47) years ago in the era of the digitization of microfilm and the creation of the web through DARPANET using web directories in legacy computer systems.)
Personally, I really am lost when it comes to the searching for main naturist social networking apps and websites excluding "Members' Associations" and some of the naturist location's websites and naturist association websites. This website really, to me, comes second to the actual sites of the official areas.
I mainly uses this site as a "jumping pad" to explore "naturist locations" provided here, and to find groups so I can be prepared for making visits to naturist areas. I use this website to try to search around for "naturist locations" because I do not own my own smartphone, and my primary cell phone is a "Clamshell" "Flip-Phone" cell phone without good internet access.
I'd love it if the people using this site and the admins could fix at least the most pressing problems troubling this website/social-media network platform, but I think there are just so many problems and not enough naturists/experts that can do anything to solve all of them.
these are just a few ideas I have had in my mind. I really don't have all the answers, these are just opinions, I just really want this site to do better.
Respond as you may.
Have a good day.
Part of the problem is the tech the site is build on is homespun. I remember that from the earliest days of the site when I offered to help with the first revision and was told it was all custom code. Not even the biggest corporate site use that as a starting point anymore. Its harder to incorporate new tech and changes to server side software. That means every change desired needs hand written code to be rewritten debugged and then inserted. Doesnt see that the site makes enough money for the owners to afford to only un the site and subsequently change take time.
As someone who runs a large site let me confirm it takes an inordinate amount of time.I suspect the underlying issue here is that the site does not make enough money to have an army of web developers on hand to address all the issues. Thank you Clothesfree for letting me know how your interactions with T N site owners has gone, I really had not known your experiences in talking to them.
I really had not paid attention to some of the posts talking about the source code or the money. My mistake.
So then, If it is homespun, then it really is like, they can't afford it. Not unless they can make a really big change to their number of paying members, which is a huge ask and a huge what if, and a huge risk to take. Wow.
I really don't know how to solve that, except I really would want there to be some sort of solution to the bots regarding 2FA, but That Cannot Be Achieved in this time-frame.
Well, I really don't have anything to add, since I really am not an expert on how to re-update source code. I would hope this isn't just some home-spun cottage industry website, but it appears there might be trouble for them.
For me, this site can really have just more questions than answers.
the earlier posts were just some thoughts I had shared earlier, and now the statements I had made of the T N owner's capabilities have overstated the capabilities of the site.
I think anyone handling this website will have a difficult time because of the precedents set by the original owners. I now see that some things may never change for better. It might be near or absolutely impossible to fix most of the important problems, if not all problems impossible to resolve or "fix."
All I can say is they really need to look at who is entering this site. TeamTrue1 and TeamTrue2 need to step up as owners to at least manually flag coordinated web-bot accounts on their own when obvious and possible to flag them.
Really seeming practically out of reach, but I really want the site to do better.
I am wanting this site to improve. But it seems out of reach after reading much about this site's coordination and management by its owners and parent company, which seems very difficult based on what I am reading on the forums and around this site.

There 1/2 million accounts. There are ~30,000 users that have logged in within the last year, 1/2 of which will never log in a second time. The reality is there are maybe 10,000-15,000 semi-active accounts and really only about 5,000 truly active accounts.

Assuming your figures are accurate John, I wonder how many of the 5000 active users are nudists, and by that I mean have experience of real world nudism. I read many posts from members who claim to be active social nudists but their post seem more based in fantasy than fact.
