Visiting NovaScotia for 2 weeks...need some nude time.
Im in Nova Scotia for two weeks and would love to get to a nude beach here. Gonna see if I can find Crystal Crescent beach...are there other nude beaches in the province?
Not officially although CC isn't sanctioned or zoned either. For anyone who is going the fastest route is to drive up the gravel road past parking 1 & 2 to the end and hang left into parking 3 and find a spot nearby. Then walk back to the gravel road and walk out past the barrier on a path that will open up to a trail. Take that trail all the way (there's a fork that's running back at 10 15 minutes in but it's obviously not straight forward. You want to remember to avoid it on returning. It will make your walk about 25 minutes longer and send you to the paved road and back through the park gates. Three parking lots later... back at the car... anyway follow it until it comes out on a rise overlooking a small horseshoe beach or a bit of sand and then a lot of granite (high tide can almost cover the whole beach) and there's the nude beach. Walk down the trail along the boardwalk and choose a spot. The two prior beaches or crescents were skipped over and while they're gorgeous you absolutely can't be nude on either one. The RCMP will get a call pretty much immediately. The water is often turquoise and the sand is powdery white and if you're there in late August early September there's 10 days or so with water temps 19 to 22 celcius 23 once I think which is swimmable. 14 to 17 is usual. NB has a nude beach up around Shediac and PEI at Blooming Point.
