Jeeps trail rides, overnight and overlanding trips 2022
Thought I'd start this topic to try and get some conversations going.
In the near future, we'll be heading out on our annual Death Valley trip. We'll base out of Panamint Springs Resort and travel some trails on the norh and western sides of the Nat'l Park. We'll have about 20 of us this trip... about 10 more than I'd like! LOL
Like to plan a trip out there with fellow nudists and spend the few days as naked as we can. I've done quite a bit of naked trail riding/driving, some hiking and exploring, on my own, with the group still back at camp. I may be able to do a bit of that this trip since I'm staying an additional day and night alone.
Your Death Valley trip sounds like fun. We live just east of Death Valley and have been there many of times and have enjoyed it. And I have to agree with you that 20 participants does sound like a large group to go off roading. I dont have a Jeep but have taken my Colorado 4x4 off road sometimes. We like to go off road to ghost towns, get out and walk around naked and see what is left if anything. It is fun just to get out and go explore. Some of the dirt roads get pretty bad but nothing that I have not been able to drive on. I dont think I could do any of the rock climbing that I have seen since I dont have any lockers on my truck.

This is our 15th annual trip since I retired. We've been out there on our own several more times without this group. I took Di on a detour route on our way home from Tahoe and we got the place where our large group usually camps. I pulled in there and we got out of the rented mini van and enjoyed some naked in the desert time!
Our group is not exclusive to Jeeps. We have H3 Hummer, 4 Runners, side by sides (Razors), a dune buggy and whatever anyone else is driving to do these trails. I love Ghost Towns and would love to do a trip like that and explore them. We thought we'd drive up as far as we could and hike into Panamint City off of Surprise Cyn trail. It was pretty technical for these short legs, and we hiked for about 90 mins only to be met by an older guy and his son. They told us that we'd need to camp on the trail for the night and would not make it there and back in a day trip! Needless to say, we've not seen Panamint City.
I've stated in other posts that I've done a bit of naked 4x4'ing and gotten out and explored some areas and had rangers, one man about 10 yrs younger than I and a young female ranger that came upon me exploring naked. They were both quite accepting and surprising, the female ranger actually got out of her truck, and we talked for about 10-15 mins about things she thought I'd like to see and explore. When she left, she said that it was best not to be out there alone and I showed her my walkie and told her that I stay in range of camp. Got a wink, thumbs up and a "enjoy your natural exploring!"
Panamint City dose sounds like a great ghost town to hike to. I was watching Wonderhussy video on you tube (see attachment video ) youtube.com/watch?v=G3Lub_InjaI on her hike to Panamint City along with many other hikes she has done. We live in Pahrump NV and very close to Death Valley, so getting to Panamint City turn off is easy. I am retired and think Im in somewhat good health, but not sure I could make that hike in one day or two days. I know my wife could not make it at all. So I look at ghost towns that are easy to get to with out to much trouble. It is great to be able to walk around looking what is left nude and try to think how they lived.
We visited Rhyolite, and Beatty on past trips and are headed to Chloride City and Titus Cyn on Friday. Have you ever been to Chloride city? any other ghost towns out that way that you'd recommend we visit?
We have been to Rhyolite many of times when we would go to Beatty. We have been to Titus Canyon and looking at going again this summer. Now that we can get out and explore more, along with other ghost towns. I am making a list of ghost towns that we are looking at going to this year.
We've been through Titus but some of my crew have not so we're going through it again this weekend. Looks like we're either headed to Ubehebe Crater, Saline Valley Hot Springs or Cerro Gordo Trail. I don't want to go to the hot springs because I'm with a bunch of guys that act like kids with nudity. I don't want to subject my sons in law to something they aren't comfortable with and some of the guys going will just make stupid jokes. We'll now have 3 jeeps in our portion of the convoy. I really needed to get my jeep DV ready (2.5 - 3" lift) and have the money but promised my wife I'd take care of the money owned the Feds this year so I'll have to wait until next month to do it.
When we went through Titus Canyon we drove nude and got out at Leadfield Ghost Town and walk around. It was nice that no one was around so we could get out of the truck nude and explore some. We knew that no one was behind us at so we had Leadfield all to our self. We have been to Ubehebe Crater and Saline Valley Hot Springs looks like a nice place to see. I had heard that Cerro Gordo Trail was closed but that was some time ago. If you ever get to out to Titus Canyon let me know we would like to meet you there and follow you through it.

Your trip through Titus sounds more fun! I'd be doing it naked as well if it weren't for my one son in law, his friend and my 12 y.o. grandson riding with me. He knows we're nudists and he's been nude here in the backyard swimming but he's now at that age where nudity is weird. haha We've stopped at Leadfield but I was with this group so no nudity for me. We'll undoubtedly stop again.
Spent the night at SVHS. I would say 70% of the people staying and using the hot springs were naked around the main pool, grassy area. I got my buddy to finally relax, get naked and get in the hot tub. After a bit, he got out, grabbed his towel and found a spot on the grassy area and laid out naked and took a nap. When he woke up, he looked at me and said, "ya know, now I get it!" I think some of those people that were naked only did so to use the pools. It also seemed like the upper two pools were used by those preferring to wear swim suits.
Love to get out there and take my wife through Titus. I'd have to put her up at the Furnace Creek Inn or at least in our motorhome there at Furnace or at Stovepipe. Like to go Sunday through Thursday and hopefully have some of that trail to ourselves for nude use. Definitely driving through it naked on that trip!
Ever been over to Ballarat? That was and still is our mainstay when boondocking. From there we will take Goler Wash Trail, down through Mengal Pass. We want to do that and do a mini overlanding trip and maybe stay at the Geologists Cabin. Great view of Stripped Butte. We also take Pleasant Cyn up and around and get way up to Rogers Point, over 7,000 ft elevation. We were roasting by 9am on the valley floor one trip. We got up to about 5000 ft and it was snowing. I tried to tell some of the newer guys, but they wouldn't listen. Always pack for cooler weather up at the top. Been up that way many times and there's usually quite a bit of snow still sitting in areas. Always a fun trip to DV. You're lucky it's so close for you.
Thanks for
I live in Las Vegas and love going for nude trail rides in my Jeep. We were just out on Saturday for a ride with four nudists in two Wranglers for some riding and hiking. I have a rooftop tent and also enjoy overlanding weekends at Lake Mead, on Mt. Charleston, or in the desert. I'm happy to have anyone from this group join me. [I've been nothing but polite and cordial to everyone on this site so I hesitate to say this, because I'm not sure if it was intentional or accidental, but one of the moderators has blocked me. I'm not sure how welcome I'd feel joining the group in Death Valley that he mentioned in this thread.]

I have numerous and many times, repeated visits to my profile with no prior communication or message stating why someone needs to visit my profile so many times. You may have gotten caught up in my daily "views" cleansing and blocking. I went back to check, and I did indeed blocked you, not sure why I would have. I have since unblocked you.
