What does this have to do with nudist?
Nothing, but we sometimes invent things to put into tis forum just for something to do and make contact with other people. The anti-Russian threads fit this as does sleeping nude to some extent. Many people who would not consider themselves nudists, go to bed naked. The line of unshaven or smooth is another one, You certainly do not have to be a nudist to remove all of your hair. I remember a story of a sex offender who thought that he would not leave any evidence if he were shaved. So, quite often the subject is not nudism or anything remotely connected and a line may start out with a nudist interest or question but get headed in a different direction.
What does this have to do with nudist?
I view nudism as a progression, not all or nothing. Not wearing underwear is one way to minimize clothing when you can't be nude. For men, not wearing a shirt is often another. Though .less specific, wearing shorter shorts or briefer swimwear when nudity is not an option could also fit into this.
Not wearing underwear does not make you a naturist. Wanting to know what celebrities dont wear underwear has zero to do with what celebrities might be naturists because the dont wear socks.
Deciding not to wear one item of clothing does not bring you closer to naturism.

Agree with your first and last paragraphs. However, I still think that wearing less clothing does bring you closer to naturism. It could easily lead someone to decide to continue wearing less clothing until they are wearing none.
Like guys on a beach wearing long or short shorts are almost naked, like women on a beach wearing a one piece or even a thong bikini are closer to being a naturist, or the guy in the three piece business suit overcoat, two hats, scarf and gloves but no underpants is closer to naturism when if they just walked 200 yards further up the beach they would be on the naturist beach.
No naturism, is much more of a mind set or lifestyle choice. You dont need to be naked to be a naturist, it doesnt matter how many pairs of underpants you dont wear.
Free balling is a choice, but it doesn't make you closer to being a naturist. Its just you like washing your trousers more than most people (assuming you are hygienic)
