Easter Week

I thought since tomorrow is Palm Sunday and we are begining the week of the crucifixion of our Risen Savior I'd just post an interesting study I found about the timeline:

Frontwords:

Saturday Lazaruss house and His anointing - John 12:1-11

Sunday Triumphal Entry - John 12:12-13:38

Monday Fig Tree Cursing and Temple Cleaning - Mark 11:1-19, Matthew 21:12-16

Tuesday Dried up Fig Tree and Temple Teaching - Mark 11:20-12:1, Mark 13:1-4

Wednesday Brunch at Simons (2nd Anointing), Dinner with the Apostles (Last Supper) and Betrayal - Mark 14:1-11, Matt 26:1-Matt 27:1

Thursday Trial, Crucifixion and Burial - John 18:28-19:42, Mark 15:33-47

Backwords:

Saturday evening / Sunday morning and the evening and the morning were the 1st day

Friday evening / Saturday morning and the evening and the morning were the 2nd day

Thursday evening / Friday morning and the evening and the morning were the 3rd day

It would appear based on the Scriptural account that Christ was indeed crucified on Thursday not Friday...I still think Friday is good, I mean come on it is Friday!

RE: Easter Week

This doesn't coincide with traditional celebrations during Holy Week.

Amazing huh, that tradition might disagree with the Scriptural account. Makes you wonder what else...
