2021-2022
Currently, it looks like my campus is going back to "almost" normal. Vaccination cards must be on file 2 weeks before school opens, unvaccinated students will be required to take online classes until a vaccination card is presented. Masks will be required in public areas, and teachers with face-to-face classes may require them in the classroom at their discretion. They will stop entrance screening everyone and open all the campus entrance locations. The decision was made to keep the no-touch set-ups to take temperatures which can then be used at will.
I will be working on campus, but my classes will again be synchronous online via zoom unless the President of SUNY decides otherwise before school opens. At least with my teaching from my campus office, if I have students who also have in-person classes, I can set up face-to-face meetings with students who need help which was impossible for the last year.
All in all, it could be worse....as of now, I will have both my classes as I already of 3/4 of the minimum registrations needed and I expect we'll get the usual flurry of enrollments in the last 2 weeks of August, and the late comers who have until Sept 10th to get registered for enrollment. We reopen on August 30th, and my classes start on the 31st.
