RE: Who will be the GOP candidate for 2012?

Yes indeed we had a state election for NSW on 29th March last, and as a former member of the Australian Labour Party I did not cast my vote for them for the first time. They suffered their worst defeat in over 100 years and in our upper house I voted and allocated prefernces for all 311 candidates including a nortorious politican who almost won the lat place, one Pauline Hanson, a disgarce to Australian politics.
Others have made the point but the US has a major influence in world politics and is of great interest to those outside the US as well as your own parties. The system of electing a President is rather curious to most of us and since it is possible that one candidate will spend over a Billion $ this time around a rather depressing prospect. I have learnt about Herman Cain although I have watched snippets of Fox I haven't seen him before.
I find it so interesting that these topics always seem to be startd by non-Americans. Don't you guys have your own political crap to worry about?

RE: Who will be the GOP candidate for 2012? Herman Cain

Well I have to agree he is impressive and articulate. I am deeply worried about his strident pro Christian stance and ignorance of the the Mccarthy horrors from the '50's. Some have mentioned his deep understanding of the Constitution, that is a refreshing change from the Bush era. It will certainly add intellectual horsepower. One point of curiousity for me was his headline quote "U.S will not become the United States of Europe"? meaning what exactly?I posted a similar thing like this about 2 months ago. I suggested that everyone should check out Herman Cain. He has to be Obama's worst nightmare. He is intelligent, well spoken, charismatic and also Black. The lame stream media has a serious problem with him because that he completely nullifies the argument of racism in the Republican Party. That is why you won't see much of him except on Fox News. He is feared. Check out his web site, listen to his speeches, check his background. After you do, you'll probably want to support him.
BINGO!!! Herman's the man, and every liberal's worst nightmare. And if on the off chance he were nominated, the left would have a bigger meltdown than Chernobyl. You would hear racist venom spewed as never before from the purveyors of diversity.
Isn't Herman Cain now a birther?
Well lets hope not, recent analysi on our ABC, ie. Australian Broadcasting Corporation, suggested that was the reason why Trump did well, it might play well to 20% of the hard core but the middle ground will depair. one parent was a US citizen so the whole thing is rather pathetic and desperate in my view and drags down the tone of the debate.
More importantly the tax debate? in OZ we don't have GST on houses per se, but, GST on the estate agents fee etc. and main house or principal resident is CGT free.
Cheers

Who will be the GOP candidate for 2012? Herman Cain

I believe that Herman Cain would be an excellent choice for the Republican Party to nominate as their candidate for the next Presidential election. He is not a political insider and does not have all the baggage that a lot of other potential candidates, including Donald Trump, are carrying on their backs. Check him out at hermancain.com Go to the Newsroom section and listen to his recent speeches. I believe there willarise a great ground swell of support for him when people learn more about him.

Well having heard Donald I was so bemused he seems like a joke, people outside the US will be scared once they stop laughing at his hair, so invade Libya for the oil and tel SA that you have had it too good for too long??
A foreign policy genesis, please get involved and save your party from international ridicule. I should post a link to a political discussion posted on our national broadcaster an hour ago.
At least it is proving very amusing.

Without any additional commentary pro or con, I really believe it will be either Michele Bachman or Sarah Palin.

FOX News focuses on the important things in............

How to properly prounce Bucking'am palace , no strong emphasis on the "ham" no wonder GW didn't have a chance. I am pissing myself at the coverage seeing the Yanks grovel to get inside running, why do some yanks miss royalty so much its kind of pathetic, we are upset in Australia because a comedy team has been banned from doing a programme taking the piss, a pity because it would have been very funny and enjoyable.

Good to see this nonsense put to be bed, someone on wtitter posted this link which quotes different opinions and I thought the reflection on political stratgy was interesting.

As for Trump he really would be an embarassment for your country, I am sure he was having fun but the true state of his businesses and associated rue financial position seems shrouded behind the ridiculous hair. The poor comedians will be sad to see Trump go.

Cheers

Well good to see your President buried all his enemies this week, what a buffoon Trump was.......and now Bin Laden dead. I don't think it will matter who the GOP candidate will be.
