ED discussion
I realize this isn't, directly, about nudism, however, feel like there is a sane, reasonable group of people on TN who's opinions/experiences and thoughts I'd be curious to hear. I've started a new relationship with a woman, whom I've been seeing about a month. Everything is great, in all ways, but I've recently been having some intermittent ED problems. Specifically with being able to remain erect. I believe part of the problem is my, sometimes, over-reliance on porn when masturbating. It has created a dependence. I also feel like it is partly due to my being out of shape. I would consider myself 'soft' with a dad-bod; not severely overweight but BMI obese and out of 'cardio' shape.
So, I've started reading up on ED meds. Viagra/Cialis and the generics - Roman, Blue Chew, etc. I hoping some of you can share any experiences, good or bad, or perhaps you've found alternative therapies, remedies and the like.
I appreciate any candid, constructive comments. Thanks guys!

My only advice is that you see a doctor about it. A urologist knows how many things can affect this condition, and what do do about it. Without that diagnosis, you're shooting in the dark. And at least you can eliminate a lot of possible reasons that could have serious consequences down the line if you ignore them.
I had a similar problem and I too put it down to the fact that my fantasy/ memories and the porn I enjoyed because of those exceeded the sex with the partner.
I did cut back on masturbating ( of course) and porn watching which did help...
Good luck with the relationship!

Sleep apnea, inguinal hernias (if you're 5'11" or taller and over 40 you have a 60% chance of having them and lack of foreplay and sensual bonding in sex all play a role. Basically less oxygen means less erection and less blood means less sustainable erections and inguinal hernias have the effect of pushing fluid down into the mons pubis area and in the scrotum. If the area above your penis is soft bulging and tender sometimes, you're likely one of us... that fluid puts pressure on the two main blood vessels in and drops pressure inside them. It effectively cuts your ability to maintain and have strong erections and is 100% correctable with surgery. Sleep apnea is the deciding factor for many men and most don't know it. Overweight by 20 lbs or more and over 40 and you're likely having some problems at night. I found out that I was having 90 episodes a night. That's 3 hours of not breathing or barely. No wonder I was exhausted and listless. I lost 60 lbs and it is much better now. Getting her to participate in arousal from your forehead to your toes anchors you both in the erotic and sensual bonding that's essential to arousal and sustainable interest.
Nudistpig's on to something. I'm tall, HWP and have bonerability issues, eg. inconsistent semis and premature ejaculation that I consider more an inconvenience than a medical issue. I can identify a lot of tight spots around my cock and balls (incl adductors), soft pubis tissue and believe I have stored a lot of early childhood trauma in my core. I also have slight scoliosis and anterior pelvic tilt. In the past few years I've been trying to stretch and strengthen these issues in the gym. Like most things, it got worse before getting better, going from numb and knotted to weak and wimpering before getting stronger and more dynamic. Things are slowly getting better and I feel like I'm on the right track. Maybe I need surgery eventually but I prefer to improve what's in my control first.
from experience if you see a doctor about it and he jsut says oh your not 20 anymore . You got blockage of the vessels .. here try a vaccuu pump or i'll get you an rx for this or that , and he does that without any form of testing , treat it with doubt!!!
If it happens to be related to Low T , thyroid problem or even sleep apnea or could even be mental reaction to something said working on you and your labido. get a second opinion,,, this stuff can turn permanent if not treated correctly ... then you realy are screwed
Im not sure if I can be of help as I am still a bit young but I must say that I had experienced having an intermittent ED in the past due to overindulgence in porn and masturbation. I am 51 years old and there was a time in my late 40s that I experienced some intermittent ED. My wife is older than me and when she hit menopause, her sexual drive disappear so I didnt have a choice but to rely on porn. I realized what is happening to me so I stopped watching porn and it went back to normal.
As for the sleep apnea that a lot of the members responded, that is also due to being overweight. I remember when I was at 200 lbs, I was diagnosed with sleep apnea although It didnt affect me getting an erection. When I lost about 40 lbs, the sleep apnea disappeared and my energy came back.
I would not recommend for you to take on those alternative pills without consulting a doctor. You may have an underlying medical issues that you dont know that may affect you when you take those pills. So better get a doctors advice first than having a sudden heart attack. Goodluck.

I can empathise with you.
For medical reasons i suffer too, however i have taken Ciallis with limited results as a prescription, in my mind much better getting from a respected source than over the net. The problem with any of these drugs is getting the timing right - too close to sex and it hasn't kicked in leaving you with an erection when its not needed (but great for masturbation), too soon and the evening doesn't pan out as planned in your head, with the same result. Too much alcohol beforehand and it doesn't work. So for me the best way is leave out the booze and consult with the other party beforehand. Why rely on chance.
