Nude camping in Arizona
There is life despite Covid!! During the winter there are a few places in the desert near Phoenix where you can do nude camping and depending on the weather nude hikes also. During the summer there are some great places in the forest areas of the Rim where you can do nude camping safely. The last two years my roommate and I have found some great spots for dry camping. We would love to have others join us on a weekend campout but we do prefer to meet first and for everyone to be healthy. If interested, message me for details.
There are a few small canyons in the forest area around Sedona. However, that region has become such a tourist Mecca and so many homes have been built that there is no guarantee regarding textiles. Most of the land for several miles in all directions has been purchased by folks and is now considered 'private property'. Any remaining BLM Forestry Service land is usually inaccessible and difficult to find. No matter where you went, you would need to be cautious and to keep a shirt & walking shorts handy for quick dressing.
Yet there are places in Arizona, both desert and mountains, where you can safely do nude hiking and even nude camping. However, these areas are usually off the beaten path so a 4-wheel drive vehicle is required. Areas where I used to do nude hikes or nude camping now have homes or fences and I am being forced to find new places.
While visiting relatives in the Phoenix area many years ago, we made a day-trip to a place called Christopher Creek -- up in the mountains -- sort of. East of Payson AZ on 260. It's rather remote. When we were there, no one else was. Could easily hike to an even more remote area.
