RE:Nude Nerds Unite!Fire Force and God of Highschool are nice shonen so far. I haven't checked out Food Wars or Tower of God, though I see the advertisements for them often.

RE:Nude Nerds Unite!Dorohedoro is awesome and underrated. Demon Slayer has basically exploded and become a world-wide phenomenon at this point, much like Hero Academia did a few years ago but at a larger scale. Both high quality, though, for sure.

RE:Nude Nerds Unite! Not summer 2020 anymore, but I recently got back into watching anime, and I found Wonder Egg Priority, which looks promising. I've only watched the first two episodes, though. Madoka Magica is my favorite television show ever, and I've been searching for anything that can recapitulate the lightning in the bottle that Madoka managed to capture. There have been a ton of "dark magical-girl shows" and "magical-girl deconstructions," but nothing beats Madoka. Wonder Egg has some of that mystery vibe, though, and I feel like it's not a blatant rip-off of Madoka the way some other explicitly mahou-shoujo shows were. It feels more like Penguindrum than anything, honestly. It's kind of cool.
Speaking of Madoka, Magia Record was a pretty big disappointment, to be honest. I had high hopes seeing as how Gekidan Inu Curry was directing it, but while the visuals left nothing to be desired, the pacing was awful. And the music was OK, but it wasn't Kajiura. For me, the breakout hit of 2020 was Keep Your Hands off Eizouken.
