Asseteague Island

Does anyone have update on Asseteague Island acceptance of nudist on beach? Last time I was there the rangers tolerated nudist as long as they covered up when ranger was nearby. Is that still the accepted procedure for being nude on the beach. Nudists congregate on the north end of beach. Is the beach routinely patrolled by ranger in dune buggy?
