I have been completely nude in front of so many doctors and medical staff I can't count them all. During my heart attack, had a femoral catheter inserted and of course well shaved, everything is totally visible, no time to be shy, or embarrassed, you just go with the flow. The catheter was used to place stents in my cardiac arteries. Now on different note, I usually wear an unlined thin bikini swim suit that forms to my body and go swimming laps at our local ymca pool. Ok, so there are kids there, women, you name, and yes things are ever so slightly visible, but I am covered. I don't pay any attention to the kids if they say anything if they even see me, I just carry on doing what I was, whether it be walking to my swim lane, of off to showers. And yes, some of my "bare" butt shows as it is a bikini! who cares?
following different situations, I have had several different dermatologists in my life for comprehensive clinical examinations. The first one was a man I knew a little bit about and he asked me to get naked and say nicely, "please completely if you dont mind" what I did without any problems later was a very conscientious woman that I had but who made me undress by piece, top first and bottom then after putting on a T-shirt. "Well, get undressed!" and I performed without problems in front of her because there was no specific child in her office to do so nor a screen.
Naturist, I was not embarrassed on any occasion. It doesnt matter if its a man or a woman examining me, but the order given by the last dermatologist could have bothered some of them, and so could I, perhaps, if I had been younger or on my first visit to a dermatologist.
I went to the dermatologist for my 6 month exam a few months ago. I put black swim briefs in my cargo shorts pocket and when I took my clothes off in the examination room, I slipped them on. When the doctor examined me, I reminded him that I swam and sunned nude so he knew that he should check everything. We talked about reason why some people swim and sun nude and other don't. That lead me to comment that some people don't wear underwear and how did that work since his staff always tells me to leave my underwear on. He replied that he has staff say that because he believes that is what most patients prefer but some patients are comfortable being nude for the exam and he has no problem with that. Now I know that I don't have to bring the swim brief next time. I should have asked sooner!
Had my first nude full body exam by the Dermatologist recently. Non-event overall. Doctor seemed totally comfortable, I felt better knowing that he has a full view of all of my skin, instead of having to look inside my underwear for part of it. Should have started 5 years ago when I stopped wearing underwear, if not sooner!
