Has anyone been to Gangnam since they reopened?

Wondering if there have been any changes to facilities or policies since the reopening

Yes, I've been. Not sure when you were last there, but they have added a movie theater where the children's playroom used to be, and put in a hot yellow clay room next to it. There are a series of upscale massage chairs to sit in and try (they are promoting them for sale, so they are there on a trial basis I was told) and they moved the downstairs nail salon upstairs in the massage area and added an oxygen room in its place. In the men's wet area they replaced the steam room unit with a smaller one-- it wasn't working up to par when I was there and I heard it wasn't in operation last week so it's possible they are replacing it again (?) Oh, and they handed out a plush oversized logo bath towel with the uniform.

Patron usage is limited to 60 people at a time, so they are taking reservations; walk-ins are first-come-first-served, but I've never seen the place near capacity, so I don't think there's any worry there. They have also changed from 24 hours to l0 - 9 weekdays and Sunday and 10 - 10 Friday, Saturday and holidays until further notice on their website. They are asking everyone to wear a mask in the co-ed common areas, but many people were ignoring the request it seemed. No other policy changes that I'm aware of. They keep making improvements and it seems like it's just getting better and better. Hope it continues to increase in popularity so that it remains open. It's a beautiful facility.

Yes sir however the wet areas are not. They are located within the locker rooms with the understanding that all are to be nude when in the wet areas as this follows the culture and spirit of Korean style Bathhouses. I go to a couple in the houston area all the time. Down to meet up sometime if you want to explore. I know spaworld is nice as well. If you go to Gangham, they offer groupons and teachers discounts that allow you to try them for a cheaper price .

I was there early in 2024. Place was clean and nice, almost oppulent in appearance. After visiting it, though, it confirmed my preference for Spa World in Katy area with more spas in the wet area. Plus, I get a senior discount at Spa World which makes my visit only about $28 on a weekday.

If you want to go with me sometime, just let me know. Wed or Thurs mornings are my best times.
