Act Naturally
Watched it once after it was available to rent. It was okay and was fun to see Olive Dell Nudist Ranch as the location site. We've visited ODNR many times and I really like it. Much of the story line is fine but I suspect like with many producers of movies of this genre, they fill the need to poke fun in various places where... that kinda stuff really doesn't happen. BUT.... I'd watch it again!!! ;D Glad to know it's on Prime Video.
Finally saw this last night. It is a fun movie. I wish they would release the sequel. I'd like to see where they take that. One thing it made me think about is how some non-nudists view nudists, and how inhibited some people are. In the movie, they finally come around, but it is painful getting there.
I was channel/stream surfing this evening looking for something to watch and was surprised when I saw that Act Naturally is available to stream for free on Amazon Prime. So, I decided to watch it, its not a great movie, but no one ever claimed it was, it was something good to watch though. Still, finding it on Amazon seemed like it gives it some legitimacy for lack of a better word.
From J.P. Riley's Instagram - "jp_riley - I was just on the phone with our distributor where I was told that out of over a hundred movies in Gunpowder & Skys current library of titles my film, Act Naturally was in the top 5 highest grossing and most popular. This seemed bonkers so I logged into my filmmakers portal and checked to see it for myself. Were currently #4 right on Nick Offermans heels in the excellent little indie, Hearts Beat Loud. No wonder I was having a conference call about my little indie sequel that coulds release date this summer. #actnaturallymovie #actnaturally #actsupernaturally #gunpowderandsky" So it sounds like the sequel, Act Super Naturally may actually come out this summer. That would be fun.
