No Tan Lines at home
Anyone else on here able to get sunshine at home?
Clear sunny skies here in Arizona and I have my first sunburn of the year now.
Going to be 94 today so going out in the back yard is very nice. Have to stay under the umbrella until the sunburn heals up.
Hope others are getting outside in the sunshine even if stuck at home during this lockdown.
Got a little sunburn yesterday out on a naked snowshoe. Yes - snowshoe. We are bit from the 90s yet. Actually, on a warm summer we only hit the 90s a few times. That said, it may snow tomorrow, then next week will be in the 60s, which is plenty warm for working on the tan-line-free tan out on the patio.
Our temps went from low to mid 60's to 80+ in one day! The rest of the week will be hot with Friday being in the mid 90's! Need to take the chill off the pool for the next few days and get in some Spring Quarantine Skinny Dippin'!! but.. yeah... we've been sunning out naked bods everyday the sun's out. We pick an outside project each day. There's been plenty to do and even when it's partly cloudy... comfortable to be naked while doing landscape maintenance.
Usually spend about an hour every day tanning in the yard if it's sunny. Start out the season with about 30 minutes at a stretch until I build up a base so as not to get sunburned. It's working well so far. Weather has been perfect for it lately. Not too warm and nice breezes but when it does I bring out a box fan and will hose off occasionally.
We spent the last two weekends in the pool and my base tan is almost perfect then I can go for the deeper tan. We are new to Mesa so still adjusting to the heat. I still get a charge out of getting cold when getting out of the pool and it is 100+ outside. That is no humidity for you. Getting excited about having a BBQ! The new grill goes in Wednesday!
I have been able to get out and work on my all over tan several times already this spring. The weather has been crazy though. Will be in the 70's for a couple of days then back in the 50's and rainy and cloudy for 4 days. But if it is sunny and above 65 I am sitting out nude!
I have a pretty good tan for the weather being, like you said up and down. It will be cold up here again for a few days. But, I do go out even if it is in the 50's if I can stay out of the wind. So, I thought I would say something about how I get an even tan. I have noticed over the years that most people do not know how, or have never really thought about it. Here's how I have approached tanning many years ago.
If you imagine yourself laying in the center of a clock laying say face up or down. Your feet will be facing 12: 00, head at 6:00, now this would be if the sun was coming from your left (at 10:30) or your right(at 1:30). In other words, you lay so that the sun will be slightly to your left or right, and yes, that means you lay in quarters. This way you will get the sides tanned as well, it will be more even. I usually go 20 minutes per quarter with rotation. You will not burn as quick and you will come out with a much better tan. So, other example might be (to make sure you got this) would be say you are laying at1:30, the sun would be at either 12:00 or 3:00. Have fun with it, and enjoy your nude summer!
