Corona virus
Sorry to say Taztrm, it may well upset your nude plans anywhere in the state of Florida. From Cypress Cove: "Beginning immediately, day visitors are limited to those with existing memberships. If you have a two-week pass, it will be honored. However, no additional passes will be available for sale. "
In addition to Cypress Cove, "Based on CDC guidance, Lake Como will be closed to visitors and guests through May 10, 2020. Free tours are discontinued. Restaurant pass is discontinued. "
From Edun Lake Resorts (Naples, FL): "Edun Lake Closed On Saturdays And Sundays Until Further Notice"
And today the state effectively closed all the beaches for a month.
So, how that will affect your end of April visit to Cypress Cove is anyones guess right now. I would call them or email them now to see what they are thinking and keep those phone numbers handy to call before you come down. We're all pretty bummed about it. I'm pretty sure you'll be seeing something posted on here should things improve in the next 30 days.
I hate to say it but I suspect this mess is going to screwup peoples plans far longer than has really been talked about. I say this for several reasons. 1) my sister who retired from teaching in college in January (thanking God she did) has been in touch with many of her former co-workers and she says the teachers are all being told to be prepared to continue teaching online in the fall; 2) people I know have some inside knowledge of pandemic planning and they say part of the script is to relay the bad news like lockdowns or other restrictions to the public in bits and pieces and then adding or extending as the public begins to acclimate and sees how the disease progresses. This way you lessen the panic and protests: 3) Governor Newsoms speech to the citizens of California announcing the stay at home orders for the entire state is open ended and in his presentation and Q&A made it very clear they expect things to continue to get worse for at least 8 weeks.
