7/20/19 Hottest Day of the Year

Gunnison was packed today as temps approached 100*. Fortunately nice consistent breeze (a least close to the water) made it BAREable, Some flies made an appearance too but overall a nice day. Water was nice and cool (got cooler as the skin got warmer) but the drop off made it a bit challenging for us old guys to walk out. Of course bird nesting stopped long walks both North & South. Was my 1st trip in '19 and my 31st year going. Once again the water line seems further and further from the lot. Oh well, I'll take it.

Nice review of Gunnison on the hottest day of the year. Glad to hear the flies were not much of a problem. They can be a pain in the .sand....lol

Great review. I avoid the beaches on days like this because you can't dodge the sun and heat. I think it is actually a longer walk every year but who knows? It's good to hear there was a breeze. I haven't made it yet this year but plan to soon.

Was pretty much the same today. It was out first time there this season.
