How do you feel about it?

How do you feel about having a group dedicated only to naked nudists? Do you think the requirements to join are to strict or strict enough to keep blank, empty, private and possibly fake profiles out of the group?
Do you feel more comfortable knowing everyone else in the group has met the same requirements?
And finally.....Thank You for a fantastic kick-off to this new group!

I also agree, if you are joining a group for naked nudist then do not have a profile set to private. I'm not sure if will be able to keep the fake ones out since they seem to find a way to mess it up for real members.

Sounds good to me. Fake people, make me scratch my head. The bald head , oh not that head ! lol. Jim

I agree with that approach. Fakes ruin it for the rest of us, and they don't need to be part of this group. Plus it helps me in knowing that I'm talking to a real person (they are who they say they are at least). Keep up the good work on your groups - I appreciate it.

Hi Miev
I think it's the only way to go. As admin on a couple of groups here I have made them both private and it states very clearly in the rules of the group "no private profiles" "no empty profiles" It's really the only way to assure that your group members are who they say they are. On those requesting membership who have an empty profile I send them a very short message encouraging them to complete it and add a picture (of themselves). Interesting the number of people here with a pic of someone else on their profile.
Enjoy, and thanks for all the great groups you have!!

I think your right. I would feel better posting pictures there too.

I think it is great. By the way, I like the photo you posted. I think your criteria for members is good, and given that we are all nudists with photos on the site, a bit of flexibility on group posts is in order as far as I am concerned. Keep it up! Thanks for your work on maintaining an interesting portfolio of groups.

RE:How do you feel about it?

Sometimes private group rules can be too strict. But I think you have got it exactly right in this group. When I joined TN a few years ago I thought it only fair to let others see me naked when I wanted to see them. So started a long string of photos. I also felt that if I want to meet others here I'd better tell them something about myself first. Nobody buys without seeing what they are buying, do they.

So the rule about nude pics and an informative profile are just right. I think they are a best indicator of whether a member is real (though they can use other people's pics). I'm a Mod for Dare to Bare group which, like this group, requires nude photos to join. (I didn't set the rules but it makes sense - it's not very daring if you can't be seen.) I get frustrated by the number of closed profiles or friends only photo albums. If I'm patient I'll send a friend request, saying why. If I'm not they get dismissed. So your rule against closed and friends-only profiles is practical.

I have just one thought: Here we are - all publicly open about our nudity (or we wouldn't get in). Yet we benefit from a secure environment which excludes outsiders. Is that a paradox? Or is this a place where we can say, and display, aspects about ourselves which go beyond what we would show to the wider TN membership?

Miev,
In complete agreement. One thing I continually hear in reasoning of not filling out profile or posting a nude picture is "I don't want to lose my job over being a nudist if my boss or someone from work sees it" Well think we all know the answer to that in if they find your picture on this site or see you at a resort they are there for the same reason. I very strongly agree with you on the rules or would not be here.

Completely agree. And their's no excuse whatsoever for anyone not to be Certified.
