First nude hike of 2019
Tell us about your first nude hike of 2019.
Here in California it is finally getting warm enough to be nude outdoors. Last week I had my first hike. It was up a canyon near where I live and I frequent regularly. I take my dog with me and let him off the leash as no one is out there. Well with all the rain here in CA the canyon had a few inches of water running through it. (That is rare here) My dog just started walking right up the middle of the creek. I tried to keep my feet dry for about 5 mins and said screw it. So I just stomped up the middle of the creek. I was wearing my boots and shorts but was getting wet, so I lost the shorts. Walking up a creek in the nude was nice. Cool water on your feet and the sun on your body feels great. I didn't have to worry about getting my clothes wet with the splashing. Now I know why my dog goes straight for the water now. Got about a mile in the canyon and turned around . Good hike and got a little color while I was at it. Looking forward to more free hiking this summer. But definitely want to try some new places this year.
We were out in Borrego Springs and took a couple of off road trails, in the Jeep. Lots of people out there for the Super Bloom. My wife was hesitant about getting naked with so many people out there but actually, there weren't many where we were so I stripped off the shorts and hiked around naked through the wild flowers. I tried to get a picture of my wife but she wasn't feeling it this time.
Weather hasn't been friendly. Was in PA to visit new grandkid. Did manage to take a walk for 90 no idea between errands. Even without trees and bushes being green, I was able to walk between the road/businesses and the river. Now in northern CA the rain has tried to stop me. Couldn't take it any longer so I went out in light rain for 3.miles. Once over the levee into the orchard it was time to be free. Took a plastic carry out for my shirt and shorts. Enjoy the rain while you can. It is a different experience than total sun. Warm rain does help. Looking for desert hikes soon along with beach/water spots.

Thats great. I am loving all the flowers on the hills out here. I am sure it was great to take a walk through them. Good story.

Hiking in the rain does sound great. If it was warm rain even better. Maybe one day when I get to a tropical place. Also good idea about putting clothes in a plastic bag to stay dry. Brilliant!
June 21st is the unofficial nude hike day. I'm surprised that nothing is organized in Northern CA. I'm looking into setting up a clothing optional hike in N. CA. I've contacted a few local rangers stations. One of them said local law won't allow it, but another ranger station is seriously trying to help me. I was hoping this group had some organized hikes. Yes the freedom of nude hiking is awesome. My wife and I hike often, I always hike short sections nude. My wife is a nudist but very cautious.

That sounds cool if you can organize that. I think nude hiking is not as much fun when you need to be cautious and looking around every corner. Have you considered visiting a resort with some land and hiking there on June 21st?
Sure we went to the Sequoians resort this past weekend and hiked. It was great.. However, I live in a free country and it brings me great pleasure when I can feel free to hike or be outside naked when I'm not limited to private property. This past Sunday I also went to Baker Beach next to the Golden Gate bridge. I was able to walk around naked amongst clothed people and nobody seemed to care. That was very liberating. This coming Sat. I'm participating in the World naked bike ride in San Franciso. I'm a bit paranoid about the local law enforcement causeing issues. The event is supposed to be legal, but it is hard to believe I will be able to ride a bike naked in public on the streets. If there was a clothing optional state, I probably would move there.
