What is the direction for Nudism?
I think we all want public acceptance of Nudism. Where we can go to a public beach and go naked and work in our own yards naked as well.
How do you think we could do that? I have been working for years on separating Sex from Nudism. But lately there has come a group that openly link Sex and Nudism as normal. The public perception is that Nudism=Sex=Porn. I have acknowledged this and have worked to separate all that. What do yall think is the best action or direction? Separate or Link?

Definitely separate. Every time that nudism has been linked to sexual activity in US the connection has turned out badly for nudism. In this hypersexualized society there are people who have been conditioned to make everything about sexual activity sex sells. Nudism/naturism is in part about reclaiming the natural clothes free naked body without needing a sexual connotation. So separate

I think helping people understand the values of nudism 1 person at a time is the way to go. Inviting people to join you on a trip to a clothing optional venue would give them the opportunity to see that just like any other life choice, there are all kinds of people. Nudist do not breed more sexual deviants than non nudist or just because your enjoy nudity, you are not looking for swinging partners unless you are already a swinger. Perverts may get some joy out of seeing nude people everywhere but they will still be a pervert with their cloths on as well. They may even try it and enjoy it. Even if they don't they will leave knowing that sex is not involved.
I agree and disagree...
Yes as human beings we should embrace our sexuality, have an understanding of it, and how it relates to our interactions with others; however, I think the original post wasn't about separating nudism from our sexuality, I think it was separating nudism from the act of sex.
Many people perceive social nudism as that those participating are just wanting to get jiggy with others or that it will lead to orgies or partner swaps or whatever. What these people don't realize is that nudism isn't about wanting to commit sexual acts with others, it's about being out from the restrictions of clothing, away from the personas created by clothing, being relaxed in our own skin, and having a greater feeling of freedom and acceptance.
Anyway, that's my opinion...
Separating nudity from sex is like separating nudity from bathing; they are part of what it means to be a normal human being.
In my younger and more flexible days, I had a lot of sex with my cloths on.
To your point, I found the women I was with Sexy fully clothed. But if I had been nude with them at the time, sex would be expected. That was my mindset. Nudity equaled sex. I contend that we have come to this from centuries of indoctrination to a perceived moral code. Or that men are not monogamous because they cant help themselves around other nude women. It may be a self fulfilling prophecy now given that women are to be as modest as possible and men falling over for the slitest bit of exposed skin.
Nude really should be no different than clothed as far as how we perceive it. Just every day normal life. Not tied to lust or sex in any way. But isolating nudity to the private realm programs our minds to associate the two. And so we see nude we think and feel lust, since nude has been made a trigger to arouse it.
But how to make it that way? Kind of hard to do when no one else will cooperate with being nude in common life. I end up just going nude in my private work, which the last 2 days have been warm enough to do, although that's unusual for the first of Feb. Sat was good for a little while, and tomorrow too. 4 days in a row, that's a record for any time in Feb I think.
