Skinny-dipping as shown on TV

I was watching Victoria on PBS Sunday night and there was a scene of a male servant running into the sea nude. That would have been the norm for that era. I rolled my eyes when I saw that his butt was blurred. So I wonder if it was blurred just for our prudish American audience or was it blurred in the original BBC broadcast. Any Brits recall seeing that scene? There was a similar situation a couple weeks ago, also blurred.

I am sure it was done for us prudish American audiences . Because we are taught to be shocked by seeing nudity . Even if the show or film was made overseas . The British , along with most all the rest of Europe , are much more comfortable seeing nudity in some form . it doesn't shock them . It's expected , especially at a beach during the summer many times , and is nothing to be concerned about . Unlike us Americans . Just like we are mainly unaffected by seeing guns and shootings happen on TV and films , they do the same with nudity . But nudity doesn't hurt when you get shot with a photo .

I would guess that what you say is true, but I'm waiting to hear from someone who saw it in Great Britain, Canada or elsewhere. A 2018 poll of British women indicated that 99% would hate to see their mate in a Speedo! Really? So one never knows. This in a country where nudity has been decriminalized out in the country when there is no intent to shock or offend.

Have you seen some of the UK beer guts in speedos or overhanging the waistband of summer shorts? Even naked looks better.
