Just say:
My hot tub experience is mostly limited to holiday stays where we happen to have access to one. Always nice, especially under the stars. Even nicer when it's just my wife and I. We've occasionally had others join us, but didn't talk much. I might try to mix that up next time. I would often remove my suit below the water, but never dared to do so above the water on those occasions.
We were also once given a gift voucher to attend Peninsula Hot Springs in Victoria which we did in mid-winter. It was the deluxe package that gave access to the exclusive area, a complimentary robe and a meal. I stopped wearing the robe between pools soon after and just started carrying out around like Linus and his blanket while going from pool to pool in my swim brief. I stayed warm even though it was around 10C with light drizzle that evening. Suits are mandatory there (not even a nude night!) and I probably earned the award for the briefest male suit of the night. If I was to go again, I'd like to be more daring with my choice, although my confirmed-textile wife would try to discourage me. One or two other females on the had a semi-thong style. The dream scenario would be to boldly strip down and convince through example to get all the guests to follow! It was nice but it's pricey, especially when similar areas in the US seem to be public parks rather than businesses taking advantage of the natural features.
Finally our first home has a hot tub but it wasn't working when we moved in and I never did get it going. It was an extension to the house that made it a room off the master bedroom. In hindsight, I should have made an effort to use it before we moved out.
