not retired yet... but close
I'm not technically retired... but getting close and wanted to join this group looking for advise. Having never retired before it's a big step and every book store or website has a retirement for dummy's section but which one should I listen too?... I want to retire naked but where? Out here there's Glen Eden or De Anza... GE would be my first choice but would it be better to move to Cypress Cove in Florida?.... After all Florida doesn't have state tax
I think it's up to you where you want to live. There's is no perfect state to live in. Everyone thinks their state is the best place to live but if honest, there are things they don't like about it. On the surface, one state may look better than the other but once you're there, you're wishing you should have stayed where you were mostly happy or tried another state. I've had many friends leave this state and others and regret doing so after a couple years. They've ALL returned and decided that it wasn't so bad after all. I'd maybe visit a desired state and rent for a year or more and then decide if that's where you want to hang your clothes for good.
This state provides much more for us that we look beyond the things many people complain about. We'll never leave California and most likely remain in Southern California for the rest of our lives. From where we live, we can be at the beach, desert, mountains and 3 clubs all within an hour or so. We don't get severe weather patterns and as nudists, you can't beat Southern California's year round nudist weather days.
Good luck with your choice of retirement residence. ;D
