Goodbye to summer party report & upcoming in SC
Friends and members arrived from Georgia as well as the Midlands to a relaxing, sunny day of cameraderie and great
food. The volleyball net as well as the horseshoes and ladder toss were available if one had the inclination and
the hot tub was welcoming. It still doesn't melt away the calories. :)
The snacks were plentiful. The grilled hot dogs (beef and cheese as well as just beef) were yummy and there
were any condiment you even thought of including homemade hot dog chili. Great sides included homemade
pasta salad, coleslaw, baked beans, potato salad plus scrumptuous brownies and homemade chocolate pudding pie with
whipped cream.
Some of the new club bumper stickers were picked up. A new supply should arrive shortly. Let us know if you
want to have one reserved. They cost the club $2.50 - we need to find a new supplier with a less expensive price.
Our next event is the annual Oktoberfest in the SC upstate (Greenville) on Saturday, October 2nd.
Lynn's home is a perfect Travelites destination with a hot tub, pool table, and Wii game system.
Let us know if you'll be joining us as there is a gate code and directions to distribute when you RSVP.
This is followed by the Founder's Day celebration on October 16th at our property. The fun begins at 4.
For those interested, there will be a Pampered Chef and jewelry show party at 4:30. One of our couples from
Virginia will be visiting, and they are Pampered Chef demonstrators. One of our other ladies just started selling
jewelry. At about 6, we'll carpool to Doc's Gumbo Grillon Rosewood in Columbia for the best ever Cajun food
(they have the best she-crab soup in our area). We will return to our place for birthday cake and hot tubbing.
Let us know asap so reservations can be made
Halloween will be celebrated on October 30th at Sunair in Graniteville. Details will be forthcoming.
