to darn cold

Here in the Midwest it's been too darn cold even to be inside naked!

I hear you! Everytime I walk through the garage and see the kayak up on stands I get this really insistent itch. Last week we were in the 20's F so still too cold for me. Won't be long, though.

I was out New Years morning. I have a sit inside and wear a wet suit. Just have to dress for the weather and water. A spray skirt helps keep the inside of the kayak warm. Nice to get out inn winter weather, not as crowded. It was not a cold as you Northerners. :) High 40s is OK.

interesting thing about a sit in till one time in the fall i decided to take mine out on the water - it was fairly warm that day i didn't get nude but wore a t shirt and shorts but once out on the water i realized that thin plastic hull against cold water doesn't work i can only imagine if i had been nude because even the kayak seat didn't help. anyone braving going out is certainly a adventurer well unless your in the keys than your just plain lucky.
